Another Old One 2018
It is time to arrange markets and festivals for 2018. That is why I watch as many movies as possible in January and February. It is a busy time once the first two months are over. March is the shearing month, and the yard and garden are cleaned. Our first festival is in March. So, back to the movies.
We have begun reviewing seed and plant catalogs. We are ordering now because many items are sold out before you can place an order. One order has been sent.
The greenhouse has not been built, but this spring's promises were made. I hope so because I will not have that many years to enjoy as I seem to add a year to my life every 365 days, How’d that happen? Anyway, I can house plants and start my seedlings. This will be either tragic or fulfilling. Stay warm.
January 30, 2018
That was four years ago, and we are still doing some of the same activities. We’ve watched one movie today and will watch another one in one and a half hours. Most of the markets have applications and we are awaiting approval. We will shear the goats in two days and postpone it because of the weather. It is snowing and 22 degrees outside. I have been cleaning the garden but not today. It is snow-covered and very cold.
We have begun to order seeds and plants for the garden. It is unsurprising when a package or large box arrives and you wonder where the plants will go. Nevertheless, I find a spot.
The greenhouse is built and almost finished. The electricity is not in the final stage, but we do have electricity in the greenhouse. Last year, the greenhouse was operating, but many plants died due to a lack of knowledge. It was too hot or too cold. This winter I have blooming plants, shrubs, and other exotic plants. I have nerines that are about to open.
So, as the wind bellows across the frozen landscape, stay warm. I am going to watch a movie.
